<p>Direct message the job poster from Employment Network Canada Inc.</p><h3>Vice President, Management & Technical Division</h3><p><em>Explore this Operations Manager opportunity, a newly created role to accommodate business growth and expansion with our Client, a leader in the specialty manufacturing industry!</em></p><p><em>As Operations Manager, you will oversee a team of skilled employees, guiding their career path to leadership/managerial roles, as well as enhancing operational efficiencies and processes for the firm.</em></p><p><em>This position is based in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, a beautiful small city and place to call home!</em></p><p>Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, you will:</p><ul><li><strong>Provide leadership and manage an efficient manufacturing Operations Division </strong>in the areas of Quality Control, Maintenance, Inventory, Purchasing and Yard Logistics<em>.</em> Build confidence and trust with management, employees, customers, vendors and business communities.</li><li>Work collaboratively with the Production Manager in project planning, timelines and operational efficiencies between departments to meet Client needs.</li><li><strong>Assess, recommend and consult with the President and Vice-President </strong>on management and business issues to ensure company growth and success. Assist with long range planning to streamline and enhance processes, knowledge and efficiencies.</li><li><strong>Serve as a strong team leader and role model</strong>, one who employees will want to follow. Mentor/coach Managers and Employees to instill and maintain a positive, motivated team environment. Oversee the daily operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, high quality work, safety and profitability. Provide hands on work as required to support team efforts.</li><li>Facilitate clear and open communication within the team, as well as with other departments and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects and objectives. Develop and maintain a high standard of leadership, technical capabilities, skills and knowledge within the organization. Assess and promote leadership and technical skills; implement high quality training programs to provide career development and continually improve the quality/quantity of work.</li><li>Work closely with the Management team and the Human Resources Manager in the areas of workforce planning, hiring, training, safety and performance management. Collaborate with other Divisions to ensure smooth operations and achieve strategic goals.</li><li>Evaluate, prepare reports and recommend process improvements and operational improvements to enhance customer service. Follow and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all legal, legislated and corporate obligations</li><li>Develop and implement operational strategies to align with overall business goals. Identify inefficiencies and implementing strategies to optimize workflows and resource utilization. Ensure customer needs are met and resolve operational issues related to customer service.</li></ul><p>Candidate requirements:</p><ul><li>A related Business Administration, Operations Management education/training is an asset.</li><li>10+ years demonstrated leadership experience in operations management within the manufacturing, maintenance or related industry.</li><li>Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.</li><li>Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and accounting software/budgeting. Familiar with relevant software and tools used in operations management.</li><li>Positive leader and coach, motivated to mentor and support the training and professional growth of Managers and the employee team. Provides open communication, leadership and hands-on support to build and maintain a positive, motivated work environment. Able to guide and engage teams towards achieving common goals.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills. Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.</li><li>Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.</li></ul><p>Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm (8 hours/day), with flexibility as agreed.
