Job Description:
- Work with the maintenance planning team to develop and optimize preventive maintenance schedules that align with production requirements and equipment availability.
- Analyze equipment performance and failure data to identify recurring issues and recommend reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with maintenance supervisors in the field to optimize workflow processes, reduce equipment downtime, and improve overall maintenance efficiency.
- Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures and develop action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Support the optimization of condition-based monitoring technologies to transition from reactive to predictive maintenance strategies.
- Integrate within the production planning, maintenance, and reliability teams to provide recommendations for daily practices on site.
- Foster strong communication with the customer's Mining Automation team to enhance planning and maintenance efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, technological advancements, and emerging trends in mine planning, maintenance, and reliability.
- Promote and ensure adherence to all safety standards and procedures.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mining technical role, including mine planning, reliability, maintenance planning/scheduling, or operations.
- Post-secondary education in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in BC or Alberta is an asset.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP, Maximo, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in using office programs like MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated understanding of best practices in mine design, planning, and operations.
- Knowledge of reliability centered maintenance (RCM) principles and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and project management skills.
- Technical proficiency in mine planning software such as Civil CAD, Vulcan, Deswik, or similar tools.
