<p></p><p><b>Job Summary:</b></p><p>We are looking for a forward-thinking <b>Investment Manager</b> with a strong background in <b>Web3</b>, <b>blockchain technologies</b>, and <b>decentralized finance (DeFi)</b> to identify, assess, and manage investment opportunities within the Web3 ecosystem. The role will focus on identifying high-potential Web3 startups, DeFi protocols, decentralized applications (dApps), NFTs, and blockchain-based companies across various sectors.</p><p>The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of blockchain technology, tokenomics, and decentralized ecosystems, as well as significant experience in venture capital, private equity, or alternative investments in the Web3 space. This is a dynamic, fast-paced opportunity to be at the forefront of the Web3 revolution, driving investments that shape the future of decentralized technologies.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><b>Investment Strategy & Research:</b></li><li>Lead research efforts into emerging trends and opportunities within the Web3, blockchain, and decentralized finance (DeFi) space.</li><li>Develop and refine the firm’s investment strategy in Web3, identifying potential areas of growth (e.g., NFTs, smart contracts, DAOs, Layer 2 solutions, etc.).</li><li>Track the latest blockchain protocols, governance models, and tokenomics structures to keep the portfolio aligned with industry innovations.</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li><b>Deal Sourcing & Due Diligence:</b></li><li>Source new investment opportunities in Web3 and blockchain startups, applications, and projects.</li><li>Lead in-depth due diligence processes, including technology assessments, tokenomics analysis, legal and regulatory reviews, and financial modeling.</li><li>Conduct market analysis, competitive assessments, and risk evaluations of potential investments, especially related to Web3 ecosystem dynamics.</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li><b>Investment Evaluation & Decision Making:</b></li><li>Prepare investment recommendations, financial models, and market analysis for investment committee approval.</li><li>Evaluate and structure investments, including token purchases, equity deals, and other Web3-specific instruments.</li><li>Lead discussions on funding terms, exit strategies, and portfolio optimization in the rapidly evolving Web3 space.</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li><b>Portfolio Management:</b></li><li>Oversee and manage the performance of Web3 investments, providing strategic advice and support to portfolio companies and projects.</li><li>Assist portfolio companies with scaling their decentralized applications, improving tokenomics, navigating governance challenges, and optimizing blockchain protocols.</li><li>Monitor regulatory and industry developments to ensure portfolio companies stay ahead of compliance requirements and market shifts.</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li><b>Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:</b></li><li>Regularly report on portfolio performance and industry developments to internal stakeholders and external investors.</li><li>Develop presentations, reports, and updates for investment committees, LPs, and other key stakeholders.</li><li>Educate internal teams and external partners on key Web3 innovations, risks, and regulatory challenges.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, Master’s in Technology, etc.) are a plus.</li><li>5+ years of experience in investment management, venture capital, private equity, or a similar role with a focus on Web3, blockchain, or decentralized finance.</li><li>Proven track record of sourcing and executing investments in Web3 startups, blockchain projects, and DeFi protocols.</li><li>Strong understanding of Web3 technologies, including blockchain, NFTs, DAOs, smart contracts, Layer 1 & 2 solutions, and tokenomics.</li><li>Strong analytical, financial modeling, and market research skills.</li><li>Expertise in Web3 investment structures, including equity, tokens, and hybrid models.</li><li>Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals, consensus algorithms, and decentralization principles.</li><li>Experience with decentralized financial systems, liquidity pools, governance tokens, and staking mechanisms.</li><li>Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex blockchain concepts to diverse audiences.</li></ul><p></p>
