<ul><li><strong>$17.85 per hour</strong></li><li><strong>Employee Meal Plan </strong></li><li><strong>Employee Assistance Program</strong></li><li><strong>Free Employee Parking</strong><br> </li></ul><p><strong>SSP Canada operates several restaurants throughout Kelowna International Airport, including: White Spot, Tim Hortons, Subway, and retail stores. <br><br></strong>This position is located in a secure airport environment and a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) is required. All candidates must be legally authorised to work in Canada and must be able to provide the necessary government-issued documentation required for airport security clearance. Documentation will be reviewed during the onboarding process in accordance with Transport Canada regulations. Further information can be found at: <strong><br></strong></p><p> </p> <strong>Here are some things you can expect as a Host/Hostess:</strong> <ul><li>Greet all guests in a courteous and professional manner and escort them to their table</li><li>Seat guests and maintain organization and flow in restaurant (rotating tables assigned by server)</li><li>Assist guests with children and special needs, as required</li><li>Present menus, answer questions and offer suggestions regarding food and service</li><li>Inform servers and management of special needs and/or potential problems with guests</li><li>Clear and reset counters or tables at conclusion of each course</li><li>Ensure complete guest satisfaction</li><li>Thank guests for their patronage upon exiting the restaurant</li><li>Making our guests feel at home from the moment they walk in</li><li>Having warm, friendly smiles</li></ul> <br><strong>Skills and Requirements:</strong> <ul><li>Minimum 6 months of experience working in retail or food service environment</li><li>High school diploma preferred</li><li>Verbal and written communication</li><li>Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders</li><li>Experience in dealing with problems involving customer service</li><li>Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, etc.</li><li>Food handlers permit as required by law</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Diversity and Inclusion is a priority at SSP.
