<p><b>First Officer – King Air 350 / Twin Otter</b></p><p><br></p><p><b>COMPANY PROFILE</b></p><p><br></p><p>Pacific Sky Aviation Inc. (PSAI) is a provider of corporate air services based in Victoria, BC. With a proven safety record, our well-maintained fleet of turboprop aircraft are used to provide efficient and bespoke travel throughout North America for our affiliated companies and shareholders.</p><p><br></p><p><b>POSITION DESCRIPTION</b></p><p><br></p><p>Reporting directly to the Chief Pilot, the Pilot is responsible for safely operating PSAI’s fleet of aircraft. This role requires the candidate to always meet customer needs while also ensuring alignment with all corporate, safety, and regulatory standards.</p><p><br></p><p>The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000, however actual salary may fall outside of this range depending on various factors, including but not limited to, experience and expertise.</p><p><br></p><p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES</b></p><ul><li>Operating aircraft and assisting with daily flight operations to meet or surpass customer service expectations, all while ensuring adherence to Canadian Air Regulations and other regulatory requirements.</li><li>Delivering a comprehensive understanding of client needs and the ability to offer innovative solutions and alternatives as needed to achieve the goals of each mission.</li><li>Performing the duties of a First Officer on type approved aircraft, as assigned.</li><li>Performing risk assessments and Safety Management System (SMS) evaluations for flight operations, emphasizing continuous improvement.</li><li>Supporting accident / incident / hazard investigations as required.</li><li>Establishing and maintaining metrics for measurement of flight operation activities.</li><li>Completing all required documentation in a timely manner, including flight logs, duty tracking sheets, SMS reports and required financial reports.</li><li>Supporting and implementing Pacific Sky strategic business objectives.</li><li>Contributing positively to the culture, growth and strategic direction of the company.</li><li>Performing other duties directly for PSAI’s customers or as directed by the Chief Pilot or PSAI General Manager.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE</b></p><ul><li>Commercial, Multi IFR Rating</li><li>Valid Transport Canada Cat 1 Medical</li><li>Current Canadian Passport</li><li>Flight Hour Requirements: 500 hours Total Time</li><li>Experience on Twin Otter and/or King Air preferred</li><li>Experience on Proline 21 and/or Honeywell Apex preferred</li><li>Experience on the following types of aircraft is considered an asset: BE30, DHC-6-400, DHC-2T, DHC-8</li><li>Experience on Amphibious Aircraft an asset</li><li>Experience on Turbine Single Floatplane an asset</li><li>Local coastal float experience an asset</li><li>Previous 604 corporate flight department experience preferred</li><li>Customer service experience</li><li>Experience with the full set of Microsoft Office programs and Electronic Flight Bag Applications (Foreflight, APG)</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES</b></p><ul><li>Ability to maintain a high energy level while providing best-in-class customer service.</li><li>Ability to participate in a collaborative environment and be an engaged team player.</li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Excellent planning, organization, and coordination skills.</li><li>Excellent judgment, strong ethics, and ability to manage and maintain confidential and private information in a professional and discreet manner.</li><li>A motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.</li><li>Excellent hand-eye coordination, ability to concentrate for long periods with an excellent attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights on platforms around aircraft.</li><li>Ability to work in environments with temperature and humidity variations, fumes and moving parts.</li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs.</li><li>Work schedule flexibility that allows for our 24/7 aircraft availability.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>WORKING CONDITIONS</b></p><p>Due to the service-oriented nature of our business, the successful candidate must be flexible with the willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays as scheduled. While it is anticipated that the position will be based in Victoria, BC, additional travel to various operating locations may be required from time to time.</p>
