Territory Manager - Truck & Trailer
Our client is searching for a driven and knowledgeable Territory Manager to lead direct sales and rentals of heavy-duty transportation trucks and trailers in Grande Prairie, AB. This role is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and maintaining accurate sales documentation. The Territory Manager will forecast equipment needs, monitor industry trends, and represent the company at auctions and client sites. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of sales experience, a strong understanding of specialized transportation equipment, and the ability to work independently while building lasting customer relationships.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Prospect and cold call new accounts regularly
- Participate in competitive sales opportunities and close deals
- Maintain strong customer relationships and resolve issues effectively
- Keep customer profiles and contact information current
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, quotes, orders, and expenses
- Travel regularly within the assigned territory to meet clients and assess opportunities
- Monitor industry trends and upcoming auctions to identify equipment for sale or consignment
- 5+ years of sales experience (or equivalent)
- Professional and positive attitude toward internal and external challenges
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Understanding of transportation equipment and industry dynamics
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 1 is an asset)
- Ability to travel internationally with a valid passport
