Service Tech

Mechanical Technician: Compressor Technicians provide repair estimates & repairs to potential customers, keep track of parts, supplies, and tools and order replacements when needed. Other duties and responsibilities may include assembly or compressors and other equipment. To succeed in this role, you should: • have a solid knowledge of basic mechanic’s tools, service, and diagnostic equipment • be physically and mentally fit • have strong attention to detail • have excellent communication and customer service skills Job Responsibilities: • Record maintenance requests and customer reports of • Conduct initial inspections and prepare service quote estimate (including labour) • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. • Proper disposal of used oil, radiator fluid, worn-out parts, and other components • Organize work by reviewing daily requirements; checking and gathering supplies. • Perform timely repairs and maintenance by anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and requesting expedited orders; verifying receipt through open and ongoing communications with Parts Order desk. • Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. • Update job knowledge by participating in education opportunities as available • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Educational Requirements: • Basic math required • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role. • In-depth knowledge of diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems. • Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving. • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
