What you will be doing: As a Senior Staff Accountant – Assurance, you will be reporting to the Partners and Managers and will be responsible for preparing financial statements and working papers for audit engagements. Practically speaking, you will: Prepare financial statements and working documents for audit accounting engagements Manage deadlines for multiple returns and engagements to ensure filing is completed on a timely basis Act as an in-charge in leading review and audit engagements with junior staff members Independently preparing financial statements and working papers for review and compilation engagements Preparing corporate and personal income tax returns The Details This is a full-time permanent position with a Monday to Friday, flexible core hours work schedule in the client’s Burlington office with the opportunity to work on a hybrid schedule after the probation. What you will bring: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field Chartered Professional Accountant Designation (CPA) or successful completion of the CFE 1 to 3 years experience in a senior/intermediate role with leading audit and review engagements full cycle Thorough understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS) Good understanding of and experience with Canadian income taxation Strong written and interpersonal communication skills Willingness to work cohesively with other team members to get projects completed Strong analytics and organizational skills Looking for meaningful work?
