Job Description
<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead the design and construction phases of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or construction management, a deep understanding of energy storage technologies, and a passion for safety and sustainability.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Project Leadership: Manage all aspects of BESS project execution from detailed design through commissioning. Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities; lead cross-functional teams; maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.</li>
<li>Safety & Quality Assurance: Champion a culture of safety; ensure compliance with HSE policies and regulatory standards; implement QA/QC plans including inspections, audits, and corrective actions; ensure work meets industry standards and internal benchmarks.</li>
<li>Stakeholder Engagement: Primary point of contact for internal teams, external partners, and regulatory agencies; facilitate project meetings, progress reviews, and reporting to senior leadership.</li>
<li>Risk & Change Management: Maintain risk registers and change logs; identify and mitigate risks; ensure timely resolution of issues impacting delivery or safety.</li>
</ul>
<h3>To Succeed In This Position, You Need</h3>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of experience managing large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects.</li>
<li>Knowledge of BESS technologies, grid interconnection, and EPC contract structures.</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder environments.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree.</li>
<li>Experience with Canadian permitting and environmental regulations.</li>
<li>Familiarity with Ontario’s energy market and regulatory framework.</li>
<li>Ability to work in English and French.</li>
