Proof of vaccination status will be required. The Road to Recovery Initiative is a comprehensive approach to substance use care and the first of its kind, providing a full continuum of services for patients and their families. The R2RI will address BC’s worsening toxic drug crisis, accelerated harms related to alcohol use and other substance use and related harms. Once fully implemented R2RI will provide an opportunity to seamlessly support clients at every phase along their wellness and recovery journey. How is the Road Recovery program different?R2RI takes a holistic approach to substance use care and treatment, focusing on connecting people with the right care at the moment when they may need and want it. This is a move away from people having to wait on waitlists, often missing an important window of opportunity. For some people the right care may involve time in bed-based stabilization (detox) services, for others substance use stabilization may be able to happen at home.Through the leadership of the Indigenous Wellness and Reconciliation team at Providence, R2RI is working to ensure culturally safe care. Indigenous Wellness Liaisons, an internal specialized consultation team within Providence that help ensure culturally safe experiences for Indigenous patients and families accessing services at PHC, will be included in the care team. Patients will receive after-care planning to ensure they are connected and have access to ongoing recovery supports, safe and supportive housing, primary care, and access to addiction medicine specialists. How do I know if R2R is a good fit for me?If you are a healthcare professional with a passion for trauma-informed care, harm reduction practices, and culturally-safe care and wish to be part of an innovative approach to substance use care, the Road to Recovery is the fit for you Apply below Summary The RN/RPN is responsible for: Screening, registration, assessment and ongoing follow-up of clients who are participating in the research study in accordance with study protocols.
