<p><p>Join to apply for the <b>Reliability Engineering Co-Op</b> role at <b>Thermo Fisher Scientific</b></p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Reliability Engineering Co-Op position summary and primary focus: supporting the Engineering department to establish a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) culture and improve equipment performance and reliability.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Researches, develops and implements processes and procedures necessary to establish a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) culture to improve equipment performance and reliability.</li><li>Support on new tools and methods to make the maintenance group more reliability-focused and proactive.</li><li>Report on KPIs that represent the performance of the maintenance systems and assets.</li><li>Support work execution management elements, including MRO spares, PM optimization, Bill of Materials, and CMMS readiness.</li><li>Implements maintenance optimization reviews of each asset's criticality, functional importance and duty cycle and establishes best-practice maintenance activities required to detect early signs of functional failures.</li><li>Develops the use of asset criticality matrix and spare parts criticality analysis ranking tools.</li><li>Development and maintenance of online database of all projects.</li><li>Provide clerical support for project specifications.</li><li>Supports Lean 5S project initiatives.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Education: High school diploma/GED. Working towards a University degree or college diploma in an Engineering or trades program. Chemical program is preferred.</li><li>8-12 month commitment period is an essential requirement.</li><li>Experience: Requires no previous Reliability Engineering experience. Experience in Engineering, Maintenance or Facilities in a manufacturing company is preferred. Equivalency: Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.</li><li>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentation skills. Must be able to work well with limited supervision. Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
