Job Title: Product Manager
Location: Vancouver/Toronto, Canada
Job Type - Full Time
Job Overview
At Intellect Design, we are building the foundational technology that redefines how financial institutions connect with their customers. Our Digital Engagement Platform is at the heart of this transformation, empowering banks and credit unions to deliver seamless, intelligent, and personalized digital experiences.
We are looking for a mission-driven Product Manager to join our team and shape the future of digital banking. This is a unique opportunity to own critical components of a platform with a global footprint, with a strategic focus on expanding our presence in the North American and Western Hemisphere markets. You won't just be managing a backlog; you'll be building the products that millions of people will use to manage their financial lives.
Responsibilities
- Own the Vision: You will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for key components of our Digital Engagement Platform. You'll be one of the driving forces behind our Payments, Customer Onboarding, Back-Office Operations, AI-driven Insights, and API Integration product features.
- Be the Voice of the Customer: You'll work directly with our clients—from innovative credit unions to large-scale banks—to deeply understand their challenges, anticipate their needs, and translate those insights into a compelling product vision.
- Translate Strategy into Action: You will be hands-on in defining the "what" and "why." This includes crafting detailed epics, mapping out user journeys, writing clear user stories with testable acceptance criteria, and meticulously grooming the product backlog in partnership with your engineering team.
- Drive for Impact: You will translate complex user needs, market analysis, and regulatory requirements into a clear, prioritized backlog. You will work on key features that will directly influence our clients' operational efficiency and their customers' experience.
- Define and Analyze Success: You will determine the key performance indicators (KPIs) for your features, instrument analytics to track them, and analyze performance post-launch. You'll use this data to celebrate wins, learn from misses, and guide future iterations.
- Become a Communication Hub: You'll serve as the central point of contact for your feature domain, ensuring stakeholders from engineering, sales, marketing, client support, and leadership are aligned on the roadmap, progress, and outcomes.
- Shape the Market: Drive the go-to-market strategy for your product lines, working with cross-functional teams to ensure new products and features are successfully rolled out and adopted by our clients.
Qualifications
- Product Craftsmanship: 5+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of shipping complex, user-centric products from concept to launch.
- Strategic Mindset: A deep understanding of the full product lifecycle. You can sweat the details of a feature while never losing sight of the big-picture strategy and business goals.
- Customer Obsession: A genuine passion for solving customer problems. You have demonstrated experience working closely with customers to gather insights and translate them into actionable requirements.
- Data-Driven Acumen: Excellent analytical skills. You balance quantitative data with qualitative observations to make informed decisions and build compelling business cases.
- Exceptional Communication: The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively, whether you're speaking to engineers, executives, or clients. You excel at building relationships and managing stakeholders.
- Leadership and Ownership: The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, making sound business decisions and managing multiple priorities without losing momentum. You take ownership and drive for results.
- An undergraduate degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have:
- Experience in the fintech, banking, or payments industry.
- Previous experience working in a client-facing or consultative role.
- Experience with platform products, APIs, and enterprise software.
- 2+ years of project management experience, demonstrating an ability to manage complex deliverables and timelines.
