Why this role? Cohere seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Analyst with 3-5 years of work experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our procurement process, ensuring compliance with our policies and financial objectives, whilst enabling velocity within a growing company. This position requires a proactive and autonomous individual who can manage day-to-day tasks, serve as a first point of contact for requestors, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
In This Intermediate Level Role You Will
- Procurement Process Support: Oversee end-to-end procurement from identifying needs to finalizing contracts. Manage requests in our procurement tool, research and evaluate potential suppliers, support RFx processes, and maintain accurate records of purchases (including PO processing).
- Contract Negotiation and Compliance Support: Assist in negotiating procurement contracts, ensuring best prices and terms while complying with company policies and applicable laws, rules, and procedures.
- Cost Reporting and Budget Management Support: Generate regular cost reports, provide insights into spending patterns, identify cost-saving opportunities, and work with FP&A to align procurement with budget.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Support: Liaise between internal departments and suppliers, facilitate effective communication, and provide technical guidance on procurement matters.
- First Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for requestors, handling routine tasks independently and ensuring efficient, accurate processing of requests.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in business, procurement, supply chain management, finance, or related field.
- 3-5 years of professional procurement experience, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and a can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work across teams and with vendors.
