<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Preconstruction Manager – Commercial Construction</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Winnipeg, MB</p><p><strong>Salary:</strong> $100k to $115k</p><p><strong>Perks & Benefits:</strong> 60% employer-paid medical & dental, RSP matching, 3 weeks vacation</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Why Join Our Client?</strong></p><p>This organization has been operating in Winnipeg for about 5 decades with over 1000 projects completed across Design Build, CM and Lump Sum delivery types for Commercial, Light Industrial, Multi-family and Institutional projects across Manitoba.</p><p>The culture is built around teamwork, problem solving, freedom and the power of people, and if you want to achieve success and grow with a team, this is the opportunity for you.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p><ul><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subtrades, and authorities, while leading client service initiatives including proposals and project planning.</li><li>Initiate scope and design coordination with consultants, lead integrated design meetings, and transition projects to the construction team with full documentation and planning input.</li><li>Analyze drawings and specifications, perform takeoffs, develop budgets, and evaluate subtrade pricing to ensure value and alignment with client expectations.</li><li>Manage the tendering process, negotiate and award subtrade contracts, and prepare cost sheets, budget modifications, permits, and purchase orders.</li><li>Stay current with product innovations, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and maintain accurate project records in construction management systems.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience in estimating or project management on commercial projects valued at $5M+.</li><li>Degree or diploma in civil engineering technology, business, or design/drafting preferred, with strong math and analytical skills.</li><li>Skilled in preparing estimates and take-offs, with experience using tools like BlueBeam, Procore, Building Connected, and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills for working with stakeholders and subtrades, with a valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>To apply for this job, click on "Easy Apply" at the top of this ad, or send your resume to aogidan@na.drakeintl.com.
