Lengkeek Vessel Engineering Inc. (LVE) is seeking a Naval Architect Engineer or Technologist for full time employment at our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia office.

What should you expect?
As a Naval Architect at LVE you’ll enjoy:
a mix of office work and site work;
large turnkey design projects as well as small modification projects;
working as part of bigger team on large projects and working individually while managing your own projects;
development of technical data packages, including drawings, specifications and reports;
modelling and hull development;
inclining experiments, stability analysis and power /speed calculations;
structural analysis;
participation in industry events and marketing tasks.
Who are we looking to add to our team?
The ideal candidate shall
possess a bachelor’s degree or technology diploma in Naval Architecture from an accredited Canadian university;
have a minimum of 3 years of work experience in marine design;
have experience with structural design and drafting;
have experience working with regulatory bodies in Canada as well as classification societies;
be proficient in English, both written and verbal;
be eligible for government security clearance;
The following qualifications will be considered assets:
5+ years of work experience in marine design;
proficiency in GHS & Rhino
professional Finite Element Analysis experience (Solidworks and FEMAP preferred);
proficiency in Canadian French.
