About the role
We are looking for a Manager, Digital Platforms to join our growing team!
Reporting to the Director, Digital Platforms, you will play a key role in managing a portfolio of public websites by driving the overall digital strategy and execution, supported by a team of subject matter experts. The Manager will build a deep understanding of the user experience and conversion journey, using web analytics and insights to optimize digital web performance.
We are looking for an experienced Manager who has led, guided, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of experts. The successful candidate equally has deep technology experience and business acumen. The Manager is a change agent motivating the team and recognized for the ability to influence multiple stakeholders to easily overcome obstacles.
What you’ll do:
Define and own the roadmap for all web platforms in the portfolio. In collaboration with your team members and stakeholders, you will set and execute the long-term vision and strategy for multiple websites to surpass customers expectations, drive organic growth (SEO) and outperform the competition. You will leverage internal experts and external partners, analyze customers insights and behaviours and many data sources to refine the strategy and support your team in translating the vision in an actionable roadmap. Lead, coach, and support a high performing team . You will mentor and inspire a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts. You will help them develop their hard and soft skills in their expertise and champion our website practices. You will develop a close relationship with your team members, helping them succeed in their mandate and reach their professional objectives. Communicate to stakeholders across the organization . You will build strong relationships with your peers, external partners, and executives across our organization. You’ll communicate your strategy and proactively highlight opportunities to stakeholders, supported by a deep understanding of customers, and business objectives. You will proactively manage communication and impact upstream, laterally, and downstream. You will help your team members craft and present compelling presentations to support your projects and to communicate the impact and results. Strategy and execution of our deliverables. You will help your team prioritize their initiatives, balancing our customers needs and our organization’s objectives. You will create a stimulating and inclusive environment that fosters collaboration, innovation and increases productivity. You will help remove obstacles to ensure superior execution and will allocate resources where needed. You will anticipate issues and proactively respond with effective solutions to enable agile teams to deliver at pace. You will take accountability for results, continuously refining the strategy and roadmap. What you bring:
Oversee performance KPIs across all websites including SEO and organic growth targets, core web vitals, accessibility, and quality assurance. Lead rigorous budget management and vendor management for the portfolio. Lead digital strategy through various initiatives and optimizations meant to maximize traffic, conversion and enhance user experience. Develop productive and engaged teams, promoting the development of personal and technical skills, as well as collaboration. Collaborate with other managers to ensure that all initiatives have the appropriate resources, balancing the needs of the company with the experience and career aspirations of each resource. Cultivate change and initiate innovation to increase conversion and improve customer experience while gaining efficiencies. What you have:
University degree or college diploma in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline. 8+ years of experience in technology delivery, DevOps, product management, UX/UI design, and performance strategies. 3+ years of experience in people management, in a hybrid model across many office locations. 3+ years of experience in technology management consulting or large technology migrations. Experience in managing Craft CMS platform or other similar headless content management systems. Experience with owning a budget of 2M+ and external vendors. Strong understanding of web application technologies (Java, JavaScript, Angular, Application Frameworks, CSS, HTML, REST, Json). Experience and practical knowledge of applying Agile methodologies and processes. Experience working in insurance or financial service industry an asset. Experience with security best practices and secure coding guidelines is an asset. Entrepreneurial spirit and solves problems using innovative ways to improve and take risks and to challenge the status quo. A data-driven and customer-centric professional, who can turn data points into concrete insights and recommendations that improve performance and customer experience. Excellent communicator with a strong emotional intelligence who understands how to connect with different audiences and how to adapt his tone, manner, and content.
