Human Resources Consultant: Labour Relations
Corner Brook, NL
Definition of Work: Reporting to the Provincial Human Resources Manager, Labour Relations, the incumbent will provide Labour/Employee Relations support to the various programs and departments of Western Health. Included, but not limited to these responsibilities, will be the administration and interpretation of collective agreements, managing discipline processes, conducting workplace investigations, and providing support with grievance procedures.
The incumbent will be required to work cooperatively with employees, managers and union representatives of Western Health, as well as other members of the Human Resources team. In addition to providing Labour Relations support, the incumbent will be required to support other areas of the Human Resources Department as needed in areas including, but not limited to Recruitment, Pensions and Benefits, or Scheduling.

Required Qualifications: The successful applicant will have a university degree in Business Administration/Commerce, or within another related field, preferably with major course work in Human Resources.
The successful candidate must demonstrate experience and a working knowledge in Labour/Employee relations, discipline procedures, conflict/dispute resolution, grievance procedures, workplace investigations and collective agreement administration and interpretation. Candidates with a university degree in an unrelated field who have direct work experience in Labour/Employee Relations may also be considered.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
NOTE: The candidate may be required to travel throughout the region on a regular basis.
Use of a private vehicle is a condition of employment.
Hours of Work: 70 Hours per pay period
and hours, Monday to Friday
Salary Scale: $64,742.00 to $84,164.00 per Annum (Salary Under Review)
