Join our award-winning team and make a difference that defines you.</p><p>RVA is seeking an Intermediate Transportation Design Technologist in various locations to work on a variety of challenging projects.</p><p>The individual will have the opportunity to work on transportation infrastructure projects of varying scope and size which support and enhance community mobility. You will be part of a multidisciplinary group delivering multimodal projects involving roadways and highways, bridges, traffic engineering, and transportation planning.</p><p><b>Duties:</b></p><ul><li>Providing engineering and technical expertise on multi-disciplinary projects</li><li>Participating in studies, assessments, modeling, preliminary and detailed design using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation InRoads/OpenRoads</li><li>Contributing to reports, drawings, and other engineering documents</li><li>Preparing designs for municipal road reconstructions, water/sewer systems, site grading, and stormwater management</li><li>Communicating with clients, consultants, and contractors under supervision</li><li>Collaborating with project teams to meet deadlines and budgets</li><li>Prepare tender and contract documents, including specifications, quantities, and construction estimates</li><li>Mentoring junior engineers and technologists as needed</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution</li><li>3-7 years of experience in municipal/transportation design engineering, with some consulting experience would be an asset</li><li>Strong analytical and problem solving skills</li><li>Understanding of highway geometric design principles, grading, and drainage</li><li>Familiarity with municipal and provincial transportation design standards</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment</li></ul><p><b>Your better starts here</b></p><p>We don’t settle for less, and neither should you.
