By integrating comprehensive engineering services and first-in-class modular fabrication capacity with complete construction services, Propak designs and builds industry-leading hydrocarbon processing facilities for installation around the world.</p><p>The <strong>Intermediate Piping Designer</strong> uses well established engineering principles and procedures to complete standard design and drafting assignments. While methods are detailed and standard, advanced judgement is required in planning tasks and choosing methods. The position is accountable for accuracy and adequacy of work performed. Intermediate Piping Designers may provide technical guidance to junior personnel.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Carries out moderate-to-advanced tasks, under supervision, related to layout and design of process equipment modules for oil and gas processing facilities</li><li>Creates and develops 3D models, and piping designs</li><li>Assists in the creation and development of detailed design of structural steel skids and pipe supports</li><li>Revises existing designs based on vendor drawings and changes from stress analysis updates</li><li>Manages design information and assembles checking packages</li><li>Creates and develops layout drawings and detailing of piping</li><li>Produces piping isometrics</li><li>Produces structural drawings</li><li>Produces fabrication drawings</li><li>Receives and reviews design data and vendor information</li><li>Calculates piping components and pre-orders materials</li><li>Receives and incorporates design specifics from Engineering and other disciplines</li><li>Collaborates with Piping Checkers, Mechanical Engineering, and Fabrication Shop</li><li>Provides weekly progress and status reports to Lead Designer</li><li>Assists design leads and senior designers as required</li><li>Assists and provides project-related training to junior personnel as required</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Diploma in Engineering Design Drafting Technology (EDDT), or Process Piping Design (PPD) certificate, or recognized equivalent combination of training and experience in piping design</li><li>5+ years’ experience (minimum) assisting in the creation of 3D models, and general layout drawings</li><li>Strong design skills in piping systems, structural supports, and pressure vessels</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD 2020 or higher</li><li>Strong skills in Cadworx 2020 or higher</li><li>Fabrication shop designing experience is an asset</li><li>Understanding of design and drafting practices for piping components</li><li>Knowledge and familiarity of Navisworks</li><li>Strong skills in Microsoft Office</li><li>As a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement, and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement</li></ul><p>Propak offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including 3 weeks of vacation and 8 float days per year.</p><p><strong>Propak Systems Ltd. </strong>thanks all applicants for their interest however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</p><p><em>No Phone Calls Please</em></p></p></p>
