Hiring Seasonal Staff

Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Worker is expected to be: • Physically fit • Able to work long hours • Flexible to accommodate evening and week end shifts as required • Able to follow safety standards • Courteous to Clients and others in the work area. Previous experience in a similar roll is a must. Job is physically demanding and requires a lot of attention to detail. The suitable candidate will be mechanically inclined and will have problem solving skills. The candidate is also expected to possess writing and reading skills in English. Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Worker will be expected to carry out the following: • Tree and shrub planting • Hauling and spreading loam, bark mulch, and rock mulch • Laying sod • Operation & maintenance of irrigation system • Operation and maintenance of spray park and the mechanical system • Operation & maintenance of water features • Building maintenance skills including painting, basic plumbing and basic electrical work • Some construction skills for fence repair, shed construction etc. • Natural ice making • Operation and maintenance of ice-resurfacer machine • Operation maintenance of landscape machinery • Janitorial experience • Building custodian experience This is a seasonal position and the salary is $18/Hour. Worker is expected to use own transport to get to the site. The anticipated start date is May 1, 2023. Required license or certification: Driver’s Licence
