About the role

We’re looking for a Field Claims Representative to join our growing property team!


This opportunity will support the province of New Brunswick.

NOTE: The level of role offered will be determined based on skills, experience and education.


What you’ll do here:

Evaluate and analyze the information gathered, insurance wording and damages to determine what is covered in each situation.
Evaluate the potential liability of the insured and third parties by consulting with experts.
Negotiate with clients, claimants, attorneys, and insurers to settle claims within your authority.
Manage field assignments on behalf of internal adjusters.
When necessary, actively participate in claims and work management when volume is high.
Collaborate effectively with various teams including appraisal, underwriting and legal.
Ensure effective cost management.
Monitor current trends in insurance products, appraisal and investigation techniques and services.



What you bring to the table:

Hold an Adjuster permit (5A).
University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role
At least three years of experience as an adjuster, preferably on the road.
Have a valid driver’s licence and a good driving record.
Xactanalysis and Xactimate experience is an asset
Be able to travel on short notice.
Knowledge of insurance products.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
