Executive Administrator
to join their team. FORSEC seeks a team player to help operate efficiently, serve the industry’s employers, and strengthen our workforce. The successful applicant will be self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and competent in prioritizing.

The Forestry Sector Council is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to developing a skilled and professional workforce for Nova Scotia’s forest industry. We collaborate with partners to identify and solve labour challenges. Our strategic priorities are talent attraction and retention, skill development, and human resource planning. POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Executive Administrator will work with the FORSEC team to create and maintain a positive and professional organizational presence. This role leads all administrative support for the organization, ensuring the efficient operation of the office and effective project management. The work done by the Executive Administrator will engage members and stakeholders, ultimately serving industry employers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
office activity and operations for a new and growing organization.

planning and coordination.
staff with project management, execution, and reporting as needed.
phone calls, inquiries, and correspondences.
with communications and marketing materials.
maintenance of office facilities and equipment.
able to see areas of need within the organization and provide solutions.
other relevant duties where required in a team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will have a combination of relevant education and work experience. They must have a minimum college diploma (in administration, business, marketing, communications, or commerce) and 3+ years of comparable work experience.
This position requires balancing multiple priorities with strong communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy. Experienced administrative, technical, organizational and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

with computer software applications, specifically Microsoft Office 365 Suite and the ability to learn custom CRM / AMS
industry knowledge is an asset.
with workforce development and the labour market is considered an asset.
with community engagement, outreach and marketing strategies is considered an asset.
