<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Projected Start:</strong> As soon as possible<br /><strong>Term:</strong> Nine (9) month contract (35 hours per week) with possibility of extension<br /><strong>Compensation:</strong> $28.14 hourly ($51,214.80 annually)</p><p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p><p>The Job Developer is responsible for delivering a holistic approach to employment services by building strong partnerships with community businesses and guiding job seekers through the full continuum of career exploration, job matching, and retention support. This role emphasizes collaboration and engagement with local employers to create meaningful employment opportunities for clients while fostering supportive workplace environments.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct active outreach to employers to identify and promote job opportunities, job matching, and employment services.</li><li>Ensure employers meet eligibility criteria and conduct site visits to verify compliance with Ministry & Employment Standard guidelines.</li><li>Match clients with employment opportunities aligned with their skills, interests, and career goals.</li><li>Assist employers with recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.</li><li>Facilitate work opportunities and negotiate placement agreements, including training objectives, commitments, and financial incentives.</li><li>Provide coaching and ongoing support during placements, address workplace issues and fostering client success.</li><li>Conduct placement monitoring and ensure timely processing of required documentation for financial incentives.</li><li>Deliver community presentations to raise awareness of programs and services.</li><li>Provide resources and guidance to employers to help them build supportive workplace environments.</li></ul><p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree/ diploma in a related field (e.g., Human Resources, Social Work, Business Administration) or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>1-2 years of experience in employment services, job development, or a related field.</li><li>Proficiency in both official languages is required</li><li>Strong understanding of labor market trends and employer needs.</li><li>Must have a class G license, access to a reliable insured vehicle and have a good driving record</li></ul><p><strong>PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Certification in Career Development or Employment Counselling.</li><li>Experience working with diverse and marginalized populations.</li><li>Knowledge of Ministry guidelines and funding programs related to employment services.</li><li>Training in conflict resolution or workplace mediation.</li></ul><p><strong>Please email full applications (cover letter & resumé) to:</strong></p><p>Dhwani Bhatia<br />Organizational Change Manager<br />dhwanib"at"<span >sudburyemployment.ca</span></p><p><em>“We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity is celebrated, and everyone feels valued and respected.
