This position is for an industrial electrician with a good attitude and an ambitious nature. To qualify you must have: – A BC TQ or red seal certification in the electrical trade – A valid drivers license and reliable transportation and a clean driving record – Good health and the ability to easily work on ladders and lifts at height – The ability to easily carry tools, conduit and equipment as required in the trade – A good understanding of safety for yourself and others around you. – The ability to read and understand schematic control diagrams and electrical drawings – The ability to work closely with others and be able to give and receive instruction cooperatively – A minimum of 2 years experience in an industrial environment – A valid operator certificate for platform, scissor, boom and knuckle boom lifts – A good nature and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and fellow workers – A good understanding of the Canadian Electrical code – A good mechanical aptitude – The ability to work productively when alone – Be trustworthy and honest Must have wide variety of electrical skills including: – working with all trade related tools and equipment – installing cable and conduit – installing electrical distribution equipment – installing lighting in warehouses and in office spaces – installing and understanding manual and magnetic motor starters, overloads, control relays, fuse holders, service disconnect switches, smart relays. – working within motor control cabinets – have good troubleshooting skills This position is available immediately.
