Cook

The cook is responsible for preparing and serving balanced meals and snacks that meet the nutritional needs of the children in our Centre. The candidate chosen for this position will oversee all kitchen operations and maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary kitchen.

The cook will ensure safe food preparation, storage, and disposal in accordance with accepted food handling practices, food safety regulations, and childcare food guidelines.

The cook supports Centre philosophy, programs, and policies to maintain a standard of care that contributes to the Centre’s reputation for excellence.

Required Skills

18 years of age 

– High school diploma or equivalent

– Certification in First Aid/CPR AND Certification in Food Safety/Food Handler

– Clear Criminal Record Check

– Certification in Food Safety/Food Handler

Required Experience

– Prior experience in cooking for an Early Childhood Centre/Daycare would be considered an asset
