<p><b>Location:</b> Greater Vancouver / British Columbia</p><p><b>Compensation:</b> $65,000 – $82,000 annually</p><p><b>Travel:</b> ~25%</p><p><br></p><p>Our client, a global leader in skylights and daylighting solutions, is seeking a <b>Construction Training Specialist</b> to join their team in British Columbia. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a construction or roofing background who enjoys teaching, working with their hands, and helping others succeed.</p><p><br></p><p><b>The Opportunity</b></p><p>In this role, you’ll train contractors, roofers, and installers on the proper installation of skylight products. You’ll be the go-to expert in the field, traveling to job sites and hosting training sessions at the company’s Academy in Port Coquitlam. Beyond installation techniques, you’ll also share best practices that help installers grow their business and improve profitability.</p><p>This is a great step for someone who wants to move from<b> hands-on construction work int</b>o a role that blends technical expertise, training delivery, and customer interaction.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Lead hands-on training sessions showing roofers and contractors how to properly install skylight products.</li><li>Conduct training at job sites across BC using a mobile training setup and at the Academy facility in Port Coquitlam.</li><li>Work closely with the sales team to plan and manage your training calendar.</li><li>Help contractors strengthen their skills, troubleshoot installations, and improve overall business success.</li><li>Provide support at the showroom when not traveling.</li><li>Keep training sessions interactive, practical, and safety-focused.</li><li>Contribute to the creation of training materials and track participants using CRM tools.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>What We’re Looking For</b></p><ul><li>Solid background in <b>construction, roofing, or installation work</b>.</li><li>Comfortable with tools and skilled in hands-on building practices.</li><li>Strong communicator, able to teach and create enthusiasm in group settings.</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</li><li>Physically able to lift/carry 60+ lbs, climb, and work in hands-on settings.</li><li>Willingness to travel overnight across BC (approx. 25% annually).</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Nice to Have:</b></p><ul><li>Previous experience mentoring, coaching, or training others.</li><li>A passion for helping contractors improve their craft and business.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Why Join</b></p><p>This is your chance to represent a well-recognized global brand while working in a role that combines field expertise with people development.
