<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong></strong></p><p>Collision Refinish Technical Specialist </p><p>Position Details </p><p>Location: Hybrid – Remote & Cambridge Head Office </p><p>Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent </p><p>Reports To: Operations Manager / Owner </p><p>Direct Reports: 2 </p><p>Compensation & Benefits </p><p>Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 annually </p><p>Vacation: 3 weeks </p><p>Benefits: Standard health benefits after 3 months </p><p>Pension/RRSP: Contribution matching after 3 months </p><p>Vehicle: KM allowance provided </p><p>About the Role </p><p>As a Collision Refinish Technical Specialist at Brown’s Auto Supply, you’ll be the go-to expert for our customers, providing hands-on technical support and guidance for coating and preparation systems. You’ll manage key customer-facing projects, lead technical initiatives, and ensure our clients receive top-tier service and solutions. This role is ideal for someone with deep industry knowledge, a passion for problem-solving, and a knack for building strong relationships. </p><p>Key Responsibilities </p><ul><li>Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to coatings and equipment </li><li>Install, configure, and troubleshoot systems and software</li><li>Provide daily and on-demand support to customers</li><li>Lead technical audits and guide internal teams toward annual goals </li><li>Maintain detailed records in our CRM and generate technical reports </li><li>Educate customers and internal teams through training and documentation </li><li>Ensure compliance with supplier standards and safety protocols </li><li>Support sales efforts by identifying new opportunities and conducting outreach </li></ul><p>What You Bring </p><ul><li>Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of paint and coating systems </li><li>Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms </li><li>Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities </li><li>Tech Savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools </li><li>Leadership: Experience guiding and mentoring team members </li><li>Self-Motivation: A proactive, independent approach to work </li></ul><p>Qualifications </p><ul><li>Education: College diploma in business or equivalent technical experience </li><li>Experience: 5+ years in the collision industry (preferred) </li><li>License: Valid G2 license with a clean driving record </li></ul><p>Training Provided </p><ul><li>WHMIS </li><li>3M Repair Stack </li><li>Skyline, Spire </li><li>Akzo Nobel, PPG </li><li>Equipment supplier certifications </li></ul><p>Working Conditions </p><ul><li>Office-based and on-site at customer locations across Southern Ontario </li><li>Travel required using a personal vehicle </li></ul><p>Performance Metrics </p><ul><li>Adherence to health and safety standards </li><li>Achievement of monthly sales targets </li><li>Up-to-date product knowledge and recommendations </li></ul><p>Why Join Brown’s Auto Supply? </p><p>For over 60 years, Brown’s Auto Supply has been a trusted partner to collision centers across Southern Ontario.
