Business Development - Manager or Senior Manager - Indirect Tax
EY is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Indirect Tax team as a Business Development Manager or Senior Manager. In this role, you will identify and develop new business opportunities, foster relationships with potential clients, and drive growth within our Indirect Tax consulting practice. A strong understanding of our services, market trends, and the competitive landscape is essential to effectively position our offerings to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Indirect Tax sector, fostering relationships with potential clients to drive growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and support in delivering exceptional value to clients.
- Serve as a key point of contact for client engagements, understanding their strategies, challenges, and opportunities.
- Proactively identify opportunities to connect with clients and deliver innovative solutions tailored to their needs.
- Lead initiatives that enhance client experiences and maintain ongoing dialogue to gather feedback and assess satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored proposals and strategies that align with client objectives.
- Monitor and present on key performance indicators related to business development efforts.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s or post-graduate degree.
- Relevant experience, including some previous experience in business development within the professional services sector.
- Managers – 6+ years of experience
- Senior Managers – 10+ years of experience
- A strong understanding of the Indirect Tax landscape and related services.
- Project management experience and a proven track record of success in complex account management.

The base salary range for a Senior Manager Business Development in British Columbia is $128,000 to $204,000. The base salary range for a Manager Business Development in British Columbia is $92,000 to $144,000. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and work location.
