Job Description
Work collaboratively with building service contractors to ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of building fixtures and services. This role involves installing, repairing, maintaining, and assisting in the inspection and maintenance of general equipment, building systems, and their components. You will engage in cosmetic building repairs, basic general mechanical maintenance, and repairs on plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, compressors, pumps, air conditioning equipment, snow/lawn equipment, and HVAC systems. Additionally, you will assist external contractors as necessary. Provide snow clearing and ice treatment services during business hours and as needed. Training will be provided to assist with preventive and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment, auxiliaries, and other capital equipment.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with building service contractors for maintenance tasks.
Install, repair, and maintain general equipment and building systems.
Perform cosmetic building repairs and mechanical maintenance on various systems.
Provide snow clearing and ice treatment services as required.
Assist external contractors as needed.
Comply with Ministry of Environment regulations, building, electrical, and fire codes.
Essential Skills
Completion of Building Maintenance Technician (Ontario) or equivalent preferred.
Valid driver''s license.
Ability to read building schematics.
Ability to work from construction drawings, sketches, and written instructions with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical skills for problem identification and troubleshooting.
Ability to balance high pressure and workload efficiently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with hand tools and blueprint reading.
Mechanical skills.
Experience with scissor lifts is a plus.

Work Environment
The working environment is generally clean, though there may be occasional exposure to dust, metals/solder, high noise levels from operating machines, or physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts. The employee must wear designated PPE and Electrostatic discharge protection where required.

This is a Contract position based out of Markham, Ontario.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
