Job Overview
The “Boat Operator” role is a physical, outdoor position working under the direction of the bay manager performing various farming tasks required in the successful production of blue mussels.

Responsibilities and Duties
Safe Operation of a small vessel
Ability to lead a small team
Harvesting and moving Oyster seed and finished product
Adding buoy flotation
Rotating and moving oyster cages
Assembling and maintaining equipment
Assisting with maintaining equipment, boats and buildings

Compensation
Wage range is

$20.00-$22.00/hour

depending on industry experience. We are also pleased to offer high performing individuals’ opportunities for advancement within the company including within our farming operations, processing facilities, hatchery facility, and administrative roles.
A competitive medical and dental insurance package is available subject to a waiting period and the terms and conditions of the service provider. An RRSP employer contribution match up to 5% is available subject to six-month waiting period. The season runs April through December and offers a 40–50-hour work week. There are some permanent roles available for those who are interested in working year-round.
