<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>For over 60 years, Bemac Collision Group has supported Ottawa drivers by offering the best quality craftsmanship and award-winning customer experience every time. </p><p></p><p>We are now looking for a Automotive Service Technician:</p><ul><li>Keep Shop and work areas clean</li></ul><ul><li>Service and repair customer vehicles</li><li>Provide estimates for tire and parts replacement on vehicles</li><li>Keep oil and all chemicals stocked</li><li>Keep inventory of all shop supplies up to date and stocked</li><li>Perform and inspect vehicles for Ontario Safety Inspection</li><li>Report any issues to the Mechanical Supervisor</li><li>Complete estimate sheet (SOP) for body shop collision estimates and email them to appropriate personnel.</li><li>Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, and replacing filters.</li><li>Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.</li><li>Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting road tests, adjusting controls and systems.</li><li>Complies with provincial vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.</li><li>Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.</li><li>Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.</li><li>Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Bilingual French and English.</li><li>Automotive Service/Mechanical experience. </li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Extended Health and Dental Benefits</li><li>RRSP match program</li><li>Training and certification opportunities</li></ul></p></p>
