The role of NDE Inspector reports to the Manufacturing Manager. We have two (2) positions available on our 2nd shift (Monday to Friday, 3:30pm-12:00am).

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Liquid penetrant inspections (LPI)
• Radiographic testing (RT) – X-Ray Analog and Digital
• Ultrasonic thickness testing (UT)
• Sample preparation
• Interpretation of NDE specifications
• Disposition of materials in writing
• Visual, non-destructive and dimensional inspections (vernier calipers, height gauges, dial indicators etc.)
• Quality assurance testing and reporting
• Tracking material status
• Performing other testing requirements during various states of the repair process
• Working to defined standards and methodologies
• Applying test criteria

• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
• Understanding of engineering specifications, drawings and written reports
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to effectively follow health &safety and quality processes and policies

Key Requirements/Assets:

• Graduate of a 2 year college level program in Mechanical Engineering Tech – NDE or similiar program an asset
• Minimum 2 years’ work experience in NDE is required
• Level 2 NDT Certification (CGSB/ASNT) or background enabling the attainment of certification is required. NAS410 quaification an asset
• Interest/experience in the nuclear or aerospace industry preferred
• Familiarity with ISO quality systems an asset
• X Ray inspections is an asset
