Hours of Work : 30.0 hrs. /week; 6.0 hrs./day; Monday-Friday; Full Time, ProbationaryHourly Rate: $21.49 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective AgreementStart Date: August 26, 2024 Specific Needs/Requirements for this position: · Familiarity with automated cataloguing and classification systems· Knowledge of library materials and resources· Knowledge of library related software (e.g. Destiny)· Operating a library specific to elementary students· Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills with a strong service orientation· Experience in a library environment, preferably in a school setting, preferred· Strong preference for candidates who are bilingual English/French· Coordinate the circulation of school library resources in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining a positive learning environment of the library· Management of promotional activities such as book fairs· Provide telephone coverage in office, as needed Applications, either written or electronic, must include documentation which describes: · Highest level of formal education.· Professional certificates, trade certificates, etc.· Courses, seminars, and specialized training.· Experience related to the position.· Other skills and abilities applicable to the position.In accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement, this position offers a comprehensive benefits package found under Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan.
