Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia (3 Days onsite /Week)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Client: Banking/Financial

Must-Have

• 9+ years’ experience in software development (Java) and 3+ years using JavaScript, , React with a thorough understanding of continuous integration testing (including Agile methodology).
• Should have some experience in Application Performance Enhancement and performance testing tools such as (JMeter, Load Runner, etc.)
• Experience working with JIRA, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, VB, Windows, Linux, Shell scripting, Groovy.
• Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of DevOps methodology and tools.
• Sound knowledge of testing concepts.
• Experience with Open Source and industry recognized performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter)
• Experience in using Elasticsearch, Apache Kafka, Openshift/Docker, Grafana and version control tool like GIT etc.
• Experience with API development and User Interface development.
• Experience in writing SQL queries and Databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle etc.
• Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
