Full Job Description Reporting directly to Vice President Regional Operations,the
General Manager, Pacific Region
will have bottomline accountability for developing and implementing strategicmid-range and short-term business strategies that lead and direct theregional leadership team and employees to achieve pre-determinedfinancial, operational, customer service and safety goals andobjectives that are aligned to long term strategies developed by theexecutive team. You will have overall accountability for the businessincluding operations, finance, and human resources.

What you’lldo:
Overall accountability for the smooth operation of theregional business including revenue generation, expense management,people management, operational effectiveness, safety and customerservice.Lead, mentor, coach and develop direct and indirect employeesby providing clear direction, guidance and support, in coordinationwith the overall strategy and objectives.Develop and direct theexecution of strategic mid-range and short term business strategiesthat are aligned to long term goals set by the Executive Team toretain and capture new business to meet key performance targets andassist in the achievement of the overall organizationalobjectives.Proactively work with Superior Propane’s Executive Team andGeneral Managers to identify opportunities, develop and consistentlyimplement strategies to improve the business and bottom lineresults.Leverage national resources and standards by collaboratingwith subject matter experts to make informed business decisions andexecute programs effectively and successfully.Promote and enforcecompliance to standardized policies and procedures ensuring they aremaintained after implementation.Develop, track and monitor performancemetrics communicating results and enforcing accountability within yourteam.Create, manage and oversee regional budgets and forecasts. Manageexpenses on a monthly basis tracking to budget and continuouslyworking toward the successful achievement of the annual budget andgoals.
What you bring:
A University degree andprofessional certification or equivalent courses.A minimum of tenyears’ related business experience.Proven track record of managingsafe operations and delivering profitable results.Good businessacumen, proven financial skills, and previous P&L accountability.Solidunderstanding of field operations, distribution and marketing.Strongdecision-making, problem-solving and communication skills.Ability toidentify, develop and capitalize on businessopportunities.Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, motivate anddevelop a geographically diverse team.Strong change managementskills.Recognized team player.Ability to prioritize and multi-task andmanage changing priorities.A valid driver’s license and ability tomeet travel requirements.Frequent travel is required of therole.
Salary: $185,000 – $200,000 per year
